Kimerly Polak, the Executive Director of Polero Advisers, has 35 years of experience as an investment executive and a financial adviser. She is a Registered Investment Adviser and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant®. In 2008, she started Polero Advisers to serve women and retired clients.
Prior to her current role, Kim was a Senior Vice President at Travelers/Citigroup and a Managing Director at Depfa Bank, where she invested over $7 billion in the international and domestic market. Prior to holding these positions, Kim was a foreign exchange options trader at Chemical Bank and a consultant to the World Bank.
Kimerly has a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Insurance from the University of Rhode Island, where she graduated summa cum laude.
Kim has earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) designation, and has completed the educational requirements for the designation of Accredited Estate Planner. In addition, she is a NAPFA Registered Financial Adviser.
Kim is dedicated to providing pro-bono services to those in need of credit counseling and other financial advice. She has worked with the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program, which helps elderly and low-income individuals prepare their taxes, and has provided Financial Backpack classes to many groups of high-school seniors. She has also served as the Coordinator for a financial-education Program for battered and trafficked women in New York City.
Kim lives in New York City with her husband. They have 2 sons and a daughter.
